Robots powered by C working to Save the Seas

Robots powered by C working to Save the Seas

Robotics is a fun and amazing field with new advancements everyday.

As a Programmer I am often asked what languages should I learn for AI and Robotics.  The most common answers I find are usually Python, C#, C++, Assembly.  So I was a bit surprised to learn when my daughter began competitive robotics in school they are using C.  EasyC to be exact it's a fun and simple to use drag and drop code block system built with C.  Allowing easy format for beginners with the ability to write in your own C code for more experienced programmers.

This year kids across the nation are working to develop Robots with the ability to clean up our Seas and Oceans.
With an estimated 1.8 trillion peices of plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch alone this kind of Technology is in great need.  The goal of these Robot designs will not only have the ability to clean trash but to collect and relocate precious sea life trapped in the midst of our man made trash islands.

Just yesterday the Save our Seas Act of 2018 was signed in the oval office with bipartisan support and President Trump's himself speaking of the importance of working together to keep our Oceans clean and our sea life safe.

With great minds around the globe, our brilliant young people, and the powerful C programming language our future looks bright in our persuit of cleaner seas and oceans.
